Torino Handle Set Configurations and Latch Positions
Torino handle sets are lever-style trim used on hinged door installations with single-point mortise or tubular latches. Specify keyed-above, keyed-below, or dummy-fixed to match your existing door setup. Confirm backset, latch type, and finish before ordering. These are direct replacements for worn or damaged levers.
Identify Your Latch Position Before Ordering
Keyed-above means the keyhole sits above the lever; keyed-below positions it below. Dummy fixed levers have no keyhole and install on passive doors or as non-locking pairs. Measure backset (center-to-edge) and verify your existing latch orientation to select the correct SKU. Mismatched configuration requires lever-only or full hardware swap.
Match Finish and Mechanical Specifications
Torino sets come in standard finishes (satin chrome, polished brass, matte black, stainless). Confirm latch type: mortise or tubular. Check backset: 2-3/8" or 2-3/4" on residential doors. Wrong finish or backset creates cosmetic and functional mismatch. Cross-check your door frame documentation before committing to stock.
