Gripsets integrate the lever or handle, trim ring, and latch mechanism into a single assembly. During retrofit or repair work, matching the exact OEM configuration—interior vs. exterior, single or double-cylinder operation, and brand-specific backplate geometry—ensures proper fit and function without reworking the door prep.

Gripsets must align with existing door boring and latch mechanism. Verify manufacturer (Andersen, Marvin, Pella, etc.), handle type (lever or knob), and cylinder configuration before ordering. Interior trim connects to exterior handle via through-bolt; mismatched sets require additional hole modification.
